Alright...well still no cord...but I have missed posting...mainly because things are happening around me that I DO NOT want to forget :)
Like tonight....what an evening...I got home from work to 4 smiling kiddos yelling "MOM!!Hug me...Kiss me..." ahhh...I love coming home to that (although, it is NOT always this way....but that is okay too). We ate dinner that I brought home from a local cafe and I even brought home a special treat. CUPCAKES :)
Best part...when it was treat time, I put it in front of the boys and they looked at it smiled, and said..."I want my applesauce...". WHAT!?! Who are these kids????...I know I gave birth to them...and sweets are my first food group....Who knows??
Anyway...we decided to have a little flash card time. A few A,B,C's later...Katelyn ran and got her heels...3 pairs of course...pink, purple and white. Apparently...it was "tap" time. (Dance starts in a couple of weeks...it is ALL that is on her mind lately.) Katelyn, Carter and Bryce all slipped on a pair of heels and started tapping away. It was hilarious...Katelyn would pose...so Carter would stop and pose...and he even said..."Look at me"....and posed with his hands on his knees and a cheesy smile...then they decided to bust out the hat box and tried on Mickey magician hats, robin hood hats, Katelyn kept putting a bandana on her head and called it her "marriage hat". I have no idea where she gets this stuff....
My mom and I laughed...laughed...and laughed. I was able to get a few decent photos....but I can't post them :( Not on my computer....so you will have to imagine my two sweet boys in heels...and my beautiful daughter in sequins teaching the boys to tap.
I hope these images stayed burned in my memory....because one day the boys will be big and unable to sit in my lap and I KNOW they won't be wearing sister's heels....and Katelyn will be out and about with her friends...too cool to be around her little brothers....so I hope that I always remember these sweet, hilarious moments with my kiddos. I hope that I can always remember to keep my children's spirits alive and full of hope and love. There is a time to sit and play and be quiet....but fortunately, there is also a time to wear heels and tap.
