Fun times at the Guy house

Well with 4 kids we are always seem to have a busy house...something always needs to be wiped off, vacuumed, washed, picked up...etc...you get the picture...but if I were to do that all the time I would miss out on the opportunities to just love on my kiddos and play.

So today was one of those days that everything that "needed" to be done got pushed aside and I tended to what truly needed to be done...and that was playtime with the kiddos.

We, of course headed outside to the 115 degree weather :) So, the only way that is enjoyable is if you blow up your very own waterpark....

That's right...3 pools...The kids went bouncing from one pool to the next. We had purchased the large rectangle pool and the boys received the other 2 for their birthday. Perfect gift for these kiddos!!

They had the best time jumping from one pook to another and splashing water. However, the funniest part was when Kevin would take a little bucket from their sandbox toys and fill it with water and throw it on them....it was Carter's favorite thing and he would shout, "Again, Again!" It was cute!

It was such a good time...needless to say the kiddos were worn out...at least Carter and Katelyn...Bryce was still dancing around :)

They all did go to bed super easy tonight :)

On a side note, the kids go to the BEST Mother's Day Out...they always keep the kids busy with such fun crafts...my favorite of the day was Lady Liberty...

How cute is this? Definitely gearing up for the holiday weekend :) Love the hat, love the torch...KK added her Toddler Bible :) So cute!!

Party = Success (2nd try)

(So the first time I tried to post this...I had a really hard time getting the pictures to show up...so here I go again...)

Well, the 2nd birthday party was a hit...full of family, friends and fun! We had a blast (even though it was 110 degrees LOL) and the boys were blessed with such love and some great presents too! Like I had mentioned before it was a baseball theme and I had a blast making banners, party favors and setting up the food...what can I say...I love a party and an excuse to see all my favorite people!!

So here you go...picture overload!!

Happy Birthday Boys!

KK was SUPER excited about the boys party :)

Me and my boys!

We basically just opened up the backyard for a free for all...we had a blow up pool, sand box, playhouse, sprinkler, car and various balls, and toys for the kids to just take over...and they had so much fun!

Here are two cousins...Lily and Trent...Lily is exactly 2 months younger than the boys and Trent is one day older than the boys...such a fun group!

(Cup)Cake Time!

Then came present time...which was funny...the boys of course got side-tracked throughout the process...it was a little chaotic, but with the help of friends we uncovered lots of fun gifts, which included books, jammies, sandbox toys, Cars toys, pools, clothes and lots of different sports equipment :) They were super excited!!

We had the best time!! I kept looking at the boys in disbelief...2 years old...and I have two of them LOL!! I am so blessed and each day I see them turning into little boys. They are talking so much and the best part is the friendship that I see them building. They tell each other "Thank you," (which brings tears to my eyes...cheesy I know) and sit in bed at night and talk. They light up at prayer time and say the sweetest "amen". They let their sister dress them up in tutu's and magic wands and they love every minute of it! Individually they are hitting their own milestones and we are trying to take the time to build our individual relationships with each boy.

Here is the fam....hard to believe my other two kiddos will be celebrating a 4th and 1st birthday in four months...whew...time flies!!

2 years...

I honestly still remember it like it was yesterday...two sweet boys placed in my arms...they looked different as night and day...one with a headful of dark strands, the other with hair you could barely see. One a whopping 1 pound and 4 ouches bigger than the other....he is still my best eater....sweet hands, tiny feet....and I was so scared/excited/in a state of shock/in love.....thank you Lord for blessing me with two amazing boys on this day two years ago....they have taught me patience, joy, hardship and above all else that with You, anything is possible.

I love you Carter and Bryce!!

Batter Up...

Well...I have been spending the last couple of nights preparing for a BIG weekend...the boys turning TWO!!

The theme of the party is "Baseball" and I have been making banners and signs to decorate (with the help of my friend Sylvia and her wonderful Cricut!). It has been fun getting prepared, although I feel like I still have a TON of stuff to do....but the hardest thing to do is realize that 2 years have flown by since these two little boys entered our home. Unbelievable....

I remember the day we went to the hospital due to some issues I was having...I was 7 weeks along and we had already had one ultrasound and everything looked fine...so that day we had to go back, I was so nervous to walk in the ultrasond because I was waiting to hear bad news..that something had happened...and instead we had an ultrasound tech that kept looking...and looking...and then she left the room (apparently she was new and wanted to confirm) and came back with another tech...which showed us Baby A and Baby B....we were speechless.

I feel so blessed to have Carter and Bryce. This week will probably be filled with various stories about the boys as I prepare for their party!! Yay for Birthday week!

Happy Monday!

2. I worked...I know, you are thinking WHAT!?! I know, I know...I love working...and I only get to a couple of times a week, but I love the people and I love doing what I do so it was nice to go in for a few hours today.

3. I had lunch with my bestie...it was a belated birthday lunch because she has been sick all wekk...poor thing!! But she is feeling better and we went to our favorite restaurant and had a great lunch with great conversation...AND she gave me a Itunes gift card...SCORE!! 7 months old

See this sweet little face?

Ahhh....such a cutie....my lil' Austin man is growing up WAY TOO FAST...I realize I say this on every monthly post...but seriously...he has gone from baby to sweet little boy in a blink of an eye.

Taking the picture above was a little difficult. I have quite the mover and shaker on my hands. He sees the other kids running around and you can just see it in his eyes...that he wants to run too.

His crawling has become quicker...and he was army crawling and now he is up on his knees and and elbows.

He is not only moving around...but this morning he decided he would start standing up and bouncing in his crib! So tonight we lowered his crib because otherwise he would of been bouncing out of his bed...So he is officially pulling up on things...at 7 months! It is such a different timeline from the boys!

Also this month, Austin started going to Mother's Day Out. He has been once and he LOVED it...and the ladies loved him :) Such a sweet, playful baby and I figured he could use a day out of the house and I will use that day to get the house back together.

Austin is self-feeding and loving all food. He likes cheerios and yogurt melts..and pretty much anything. I am not going to lie...the kids had an oreo the other night after dinner and one decided that they should share and gave a piece to Austin...we caught it a little late, but he didn't seem to mind.

He is still the happiest baby in the world. I love that he still let's me cuddle him and kiss him. He will even still fall asleep on me and we can rest together...but he also sleeps in his bed like a champ. He is on a 7:30p-7:30a sleep schedule and he has 3 meals a day and a snack.

I feel so blessed that God gave me another sweet boy. I love my Austin man!

In my first 30 years....

Well...today is the day....my birthday. I have officially left the twenties behind and have turned 30. I have been crazy lately (we just got home from Vegas today...CONGRATS MARCY AND ROSS...more on that on another post)....so since my mind is all over the place I figured I would do a "this and that" post of 12 things about me in honor of my birthday on June 12th :)

1. I was born on my due date....which is cool to me...after having 3 pregnancies I think it would have been cool to have had one on the date that I was told from the beginning....from googling this...I found that less than 5% of babies are born on their "due date".

2. Being 30 is surreal...I still remember being 15 years old and thinking how OLD 30sounded...so it is funny to think that I hit that OLD age...however, I do not feel old at all :)

3. I had my first child at 26...if someone would have told me that I would have 3 more by the time I turned 30 I would have laughed in their face...who knew, right?

4. My husband got me the two fabulous gifts below :) He is a pretty good shopper!

5. I can twirl a baton...I started when I was 3 years old and stopped at age 10...I want to teach my daughter now that she is 3...but I am not sure she is that interested

6. The boys birthday is in 2 weeks...and I am SO BEHIND on the party planning...I will be in overdrive for the next 14 days

7. I could have milk and oreos every night before bed...there are some weeks that I do have them every night...

8. I am obsessed with reading books on my I Pad...I have downloaded three books in the last week...

9. My initials are CBG....My oldest brother's name starts with a C and my older brother's name starts with a B...I like that their first initials make up my initials...it is also the reason my twins have a C & B name...

10. I have nothing to watch on TV these days...I usually catch up on DVR after the kids go to bed, but I got nothin'...so I have been watching old episodes of Sex in the City instead

11. I got some birthday money that I am exited to take to Hobby Lobby with me...I have been eyeing a few things :)

12. I am HORRIBLE at Words with Friends...but I still LOVE to play it

So there is some serious randomness...I will be getting back to posting now that I am home and computer is fixed!! Have a great week :)

Come up...and see me sometime...

So it has been a LONG time since I have written a real post...due to the fact that my computer has been at the computer doctor getting fixed....so I have not been able to upload photos or update on what has been going on....so here goes...

Katelyn's Dance recital....May 22nd...can I just say it was one of those proud parent moments that brought tears to my eyes. The family came out to see her in her first production...but the recital day started way before showtime...she was so excited about getting ready for the recital...I am pretty sure she was more excited about lip gloss and mascara than wearing a tutu and tapping...

The outfit....

Prep time....

She had so much fun getting ready...and I had so much getting her all dolled up...of course we had to have a small little photo shoot at home...

I think all the excitement got to her...because she fell asleep in the car :) But once we got there, she was ready to go! We went backstage and found her friends...they all looked so cute!

Once we got her settled down, it was showtime...it was an amazing show watching all the dancers...but it was absolutely precious watching Katelyn on stage. She had such a good time. I was half worried that she would just stand there and stare out into the audience like a deer in headlights...but I was so wrong...she smiled and danced and had a blast. She had two dances...first was her tap...which is her favorite. Second, was the ballet dance...which ended with a little dance with their dads. It was super cute and Kev had a great time with his little girl! These pictures aren't the best...I obviously need a better zoom lense!

Even Austin was having a good time...

After the recital, KK was covered with love, flowers and presents from the family and she enjoyed every minute of seeing her grandparents and cousins!

Her and her cousin Miriel....

Grandparents....

It was such a good evening with our little girl! It was so fun watching her enjoy herself and dance on a big stage. She is starting a summer dance camp tomorrow....we might have a tiny dancer on our hands :) Or not...either way, I am glad she enjoys life and I enjoy watching her!!

Daddy's Little Girl

Tonight I was cleaning the living room....I picked up a frame of my father and I on my wedding day....

KK: (Big smile on face) "Is that a picture of you and Papa?"

Me: "Yep....it is from mine and daddy's wedding day...Papa gave me away to daddy that day....one day you will get married and daddy will give you away"

KK: (with look of fear as she turns to her father)"......but I don't want to go away Daddy....."

I slightly giggle under my breath and look at Kev....who has a big smile on his face...

Kev: "You don't have to EVER go away....you can just stay with me"

KK: (relieved) "GOOD!"

I hope he realizes she will change her mind ;)

Regardless....it was super sweet to see....she is such a daddy's girl...I love it!
