Let Freedom Ring

Happy 4th of July to everyone!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day with family and more importantly I am thankful to those that have given there lives in the past, present and future that allow my freedom here in the US. I am truly amazed at those that give there time and efforts so selflessly to defend our nation. Thank you...Thank you ...Thank you!

In order to celebrate, we had a two day celebration...On Sunday, we went down to good ol' Moore, Oklahoma and headed to 12th street park where they have booths, sno cones and a HUGE sandbox :)

We had a blast...however, it was 125 degrees outside so we only lasted a little while before we headed back to AC. But the kids had a blast in the sandbox and eating sno cones...and KK of course got her face painted :)

Today we got back in our red, white and blue and celebrated in our hometown of Piedmont. We were a little disappointed at first...because ALOT of rain moved in and it looked as though the parade was going to be cancelled...since the kids were a little down at the idea of the parade not happening we decided ice cream would be a good treat :)

Our little ice cream party got messy...especially with Bryce but they really enjoyed it!

Luckily, we waited around and sure enough, the rain cleared and the sun was back out (and HOT) and we unloaded to get set up for parade time!! The kids were so excited!!

The boys were so excited to see the horses and cars...and Katelyn was pumped because of all the candy!! Although, once Bryce got the hang of the candy idea...he was all about it! Carter was so sweet...he sat next to me most of the time and just smiled and waved...I loved it...a woman in the parade noticed that he was just sitting next to me and came up to him and handed him an entire handful of candy. He was pretty excited!! We came home with alot of loot!!

At the end of the parade, the kids started to wave their flags.

We had a blast! Now the kids are sleeping like logs!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and got to spend it with loved ones!
