22 months old.....

That is right....these two little, Spongebob wearing, Veggie Tales loving, Cowboy's are 22 months old. Not.even.possible. But true....I CANNOT believe in two short months they will turn 2 years old. This is happy and sad for me...my boys are getting so big!!

The LOVE to wrestle these days...at times this ends in yells and screams...and being separated by mom or dad...but when they are wrestling and giggling it is SUPER sweet.

Posted by Picasa

They also LOVE their little brother....always lots of hugs and kisses. In the morning they always say hi to him and if he makes a noise Carter will run up to Kev or myself and say "Austin, Austin" and point in his direction, as if to say, "Go get him!!"

Their favorite meal of the day is breakfast...they are starting to use their utensils really well, so we have been diving into yogurt and cereal with milk. Of course, their favorite is still fruit. They love blueberries, strawberries, bananas, apples, cantaloupe, grapes and oranges. Such happy boys!

Things I am loving right now:

* Carter is starting to talk ALOT more...still trying to figure out all he is saying, but he attempting and it is precious

* Bryce is so proud of himself, whenever he does anything he looks up at us and yells, "I DID IT!" so cute!

* Carter has an amazing attention span...his teachers think it is amazing at his age that he can sit and play and remain content for such a long amount of time for his age

* Bryce is a funny guy...everytime he has a dirty diaper, I ask him if he is dirty and he always says, "No, Carter is..." I can just see him pointing his finger at his brother when he gets in trouble when he is older

* Carter is going through a terrible hitting phase...so time outs have become regular

* Bryce has quite the temper....and does not like to share...something we are working on

* Carter is having some separation anxiety in large crowds...he just wants Kevin to hold him the entire time...such a shy kid

* Bryce, on the other hand is the socialite...just walks into a room like he owns it and talks to everyone

* Carter still gives the best hugs....(this is his "I love you" right now)

* Bryce says, "Momma, I love you!" (melts my heart)

* They both still sleep from 7:30p-7:30a...and nap once a day for 2-3hrs. They sometimes have HUGE appetites and other days they just stare at food. Bathtime is a favorite time and now that the weather is nice they LOVE going outside to play.

They are best buds...they love rocks, dirt and playing in their pajamas. when I catch them just hanging out together I think it is amazing. They have their own language. They are becoming little boys instead of my babies!

Happy 22 months!

A little Easter recap....

So this post is going to be one that is a little all over the place....it has been a few days since I have posted...and since we have been crazy, I figure I would dump things all in one post with bullet points :)

  • We all got ready in our Easter gear and enjoyed a WONDERFUL Easter message at our Church on Saturday evening....I would love to show you pics of our family in our Easter best...but that night when I was messing with the camera, I ended up deleting them...ALL...I was very sad...but we did end up getting pics on Sunday in our non-Easter gear

  • My husband made the decision at our service to be baptized this Sunday....God is so good...and I am so excited for his decision :)

  • Katelyn and I started our tradition of making Resurrection Rolls...such a great thing to do with a small child in trying to explain the true meaning of Easter...and a yummy treat to enjoy together. Next year the boys will join us in the tradition! (Again no pictures...erased...sad, very sad)

  • Sunday morning we woke up, the kids saw that the Easter bunny hopped by for a visit...

      • The kids were treated with Veggie Tales movies, a craft, Crayola color bubbles and sidewalk chalk....shaped like bunnies of course :) Austin also got a basket...of yummy organic baby food and a new teether...he seemed pretty excited!

      • We finally got all dressed up and ready to head out to see family

      • The kids participated in an Easter egg hunt....Carter got Rookie of the Year....he had so many eggs ;)
All in all it was a great Easter and I am really looking forward to this weekend for Kevin's baptism. We really enjoyed family and the ability to relax a little and see all the kids play together. I feel like my family rarely gets the whole group under one roof....so I feel so blessed that we were able to this past weekend.

Well, it took a couple of days to post that because yesterday, the boys and I were not having a good day...Twins vs. mom...and pretty sure they got the best of me. I was wore out!! Today was a work day, so I am glad to get back to posting :)

      Good Friday Highlights...

Well, it has been a wonderful and busy day...a few highlights before starting the busy Easter weekend...

      • I had a playdate with three wonderful women and their sweet kiddos....plus I brought ALL four of mine. This was a first for me...I have never taken all 4 kiddos with me anywhere and done all the loading and unloading (which takes master skill LOL). I am fortunate to have my husband with me on most occassions. It is tough for two eyes to keep track of six moving little legs and a baby but overall it went really well!! I am SO THANKFUL for the wonderful friends I had that helped me keep up with my crew. I will say that it wore me out :) We all went to see daddy after and grab lunch...and then we headed home for naps :)

      • While on the playground I recieved the best.compliment.ever....I had rounded up the three older kids to a bench to take a 5 minute break and grab a drink of water, where an older woman sat there and smiled at me. My first thought, she thinks I am crazy and probably is thinking I need a good talk about where babies come from...(I get this often). However, she surprised me with simply saying, "My twins are 35 years old now, you are going to have so much fun"....I sighed with relief, as if I just realized I was talking to an old friend (something I love about meeting other twin moms) and laughed and responded, "So you are a survivor..."and we both laughed. She then said something that caught me off guard, "You look great out there...no matter how much you are running around, you are doing it with a smile." I know that I look frantic when keeping up with all 4 kiddos, and I have always assumed I looked, well, crazy...defeated...overwhelmed...but a woman I did not know paid me a huge compliment and said I did it with a smile. She also gave me many more words of encouragement and I felt SO GOOD after talking to her.

      • After naptime, Kev got home and me and Katelyn were out the door...we had to run to the mall and exchange a couple of things. We strolled around the mall for a little bit, tried on pretty necklaces and looked at pretty clothes. Her favorite are shiny belts right now :)

      • Then, off to dinner with my girl...which was a blast! She LOVES going out to eat at restaurants...always a special occassion....and her and I rarely get this opportunity. So we decided a special dinner needed a cupcake. We sat there and chatted...and she looked at me and said, "We are going to be friends forever Mom..." Loved it...and love her!

      • Then we headed to watch my niece, Kyleigh, in her FIRST dance competition. It was so fun to see her on stage and dancing so well! She did great! KK was in awe the whole time. To top things off, her team won GOLD....Yay!

      • Now I am home, kids in bed and the hubs and I are going to finish the day with a movie. So many wonderful things to be thankful for on the Good Friday. Blessed that Jesus died for my sins...for all our sins....I am looking forward to an amazing and uplifting Easter weekend.

      Have a great weekend!

      American Idol....love it!

So this is a short little post just to say...I am LOVING American Idol this year...I know they are already down to only like, six people and I am just bring this up...but we just got done watching the results show, and everytime I watch it I like it more and more.

I was disappointed for Pia when she got kicked off...which at the time felt too soon...however, now she has a record deal and dating a pseudo star (Mark Ballas...from Dancing with the Stars) so I figure, she did what she came to do...she just did it early...

But as far as everything else goes...WOW! I have been an avid Idol fan since season 4 (Shout out to Carrie Underwood....LOVE HER!) and I usually have enjoyed watching it...but I found myself fastforwarding alot as the seasons went on. Not this year!! I like the group performances and the individual performances. I love catching the behind the scene stuff with the producers. Each performance seems more professional than in the past...and I am rarely hearing "that sounded karoke"...because I think there is more talent on the stage this year than any year before.

And the Judges....oh, the judges...I think it is a great group...and they are more encouraging than critical but I feel like they all are pretty honest about each performance. And what is the harm in encouragement?

      Hands down...best.season.yet.

Well, I won't say I have a favorite, but I feel like it will come down to Lauren, James and Casey. We will see...I am pretty sure that all of them will have a record...or at least a hit single :)

Well, I hope everyone is gearing up for Easter weekend! We sure are :)

      Happy Day!

      Monday in a nutshell...

Well, we had another weekend that kept us busy! So, I actually kept our Monday pretty low key...so I figured I would touch on highlights:

      • Finally got all my laundry hung up!!!

      • Weather was BEAUTIFUL so I just opened up the back door and watched the boys run in and out playing pretty much all day :)

      • The lawn guys came and our yard looks GREAT! Too bad they came just as I put the boys down for their nap...Bryce had a rough time but finally they all went down!

      • I steam cleaned the floors...could not believe how dirty they were...

      • The clothes I ordered on-line came in today...so fun getting mail (that aren't bills!)

      • Kev and I went on a date...to the grocery store LOL....we are SO EXCITED that we finally have a grocery store in our town...now it doesn't take us 30 minutes to get to the closest one!!

      • Gossip Girl, 90210, Chuck, Dancing with the Stars and Secrect Life as an American Teenager are all on my DVR....and

      • my WONDERFUL husband is washing dishes right now as I start my shows on DVR and blog :) Good guy!

Well, I know that is boring :) But that is all I got!! Hope you had a great Monday!

      Sitting still....

Today I was reminded that it is ok to just sit sometimes...

As usual, on a Saturday, once I get out of bed when the boys wake up, the "GO" button is pressed and I don't sit...we start with diaper changes and breakfast, then KK usually stumbles into the room half-asleep, ready for breakfast...only to sit down and say she needs to potty, off to the bathroom and then back to breakfast, then Austin stirs awake and I hear his coos from his room and I go pick him up and we have another diaper change then a quick nursing, then onto the floor he goes to roll..and roll..and roll. By this time, breakfast is done, and it is time to clean up a boy at a time, wipe down trays, and rinse off dishes...then move onto Katelyn's tray and dishes.

Then the kids are running crazy...a few timeouts and "What is going on in there???" with tears and screams in the background. Then we play "clean up" (which is losing it's charm...darn it!) and move onto another activity such as coloring or book reading...then up I go to put up laundry, check the bank account, vacuum floor and then another diaper change....then before I know it, it is lunch, so back to the kitchen to put together 3 lunches and pull the chairs back out, and the bumbo to give Austin his "food" and then clean up time again...the time of 12:30pm was quickly approaching...which screams to me NAPTIME!!

And as I cleaned up the boys and started rushing everyone off to their rooms and singing "Yay! It's naptime....time to sleep to gain more energy so we can play more this afternoon!!!", the boys head to their room, I tuck Katelyn in and start hearing the screams and cries of one little boy named Austin. "What is that noise!?!" Honestly, I always sing his praises of being the easiest baby EVER....because honestly he smiles, plays, eats and sleeps. Usually, never a peep out of the kid except his sweet coos...so this was out of the ordinary.

So, my first reaction...honestly (and this is terrible) is irritated...I mean, I had plans to eat lunch, hang out in the quiet, watch old episodes of 90210...surf the web...and then I realized how selfish that all sounded...and I just sat on the floor and picked up my baby boy and rocked him and he looked at me with complete content and closed his eyes. It was a moment that not only he needed, but so did I.

I thanked God then and there for that reminder...that the day isn't always about to-do lists, laundry and bills. It is about compassion and love. Austin finally spoke up and said...Mom take a minute with me. It was wonderful and I just held him, which I feel like I rarely get a chance to do.

So needless to say, today when the kids to get up, I am going to take a moment with each of them to steal a kiss and a hug and just simply say I love you. A good lessoned learned for this Saturday!!

Have a great weekend...it looks like the weather here is going to be great and we have plans to enjoy the great outdoors!!

      Time Flies...

So occassionally I like to sit on my computer and look at old photos. I sit and think of the day and stories that surround the pictures...sometimes I laugh and sometimes I get teary eyed. Pictures really are worth 1,000 words!

My computer organizes pictures by date, so I usually like to look at pictures and think back to what was going on a year ago...or two years ago....and I will go back and bring up those pictures...and I am so amazed at how things have changed!!

So, I thought I would share these pics with you today as I reminisce...

      April 2009

Hard to believe this was just two years ago. Her little pigtails and cheesy smile! I love it...we were about to head out to Kev's aunt's house to Easter egg hunt. She was super excited!!

This was me...about 9 weeks from delivering the twins. We are standing outside of my parents house because we had just sold our first home and moved in with my parents while we found another home. Exactly what you should not do when you are about to deliver twins :) LOL However, the Lord blessed us with a wonderful home and we moved in just in the nick of time!

      April 2010

Who's that girl!?! She looks so much bigger than just one year before! Of course, she is enjoying dressing up and playing in this pic. This was taken one evening when her cousin came over to stay the night. It was such a fun night with the girls!

My lil' boys...oh so different looking!! We were at Sam's and I loved how they had a buggy where I could sit them next to each other, so of course I had to take a picture. They are so litte :) It was around this time that I had found out that we were expecting another surprise!!

      And onto the present....

      April 2011
Nowadays we have a full house of these sweet faces...

She is precious...she is growing up so much. I love how she still has the sweetest eyes that just sparkle and makes my heart so happy! She is so happy in this picture because she is outside and swinging...two of her favorite things right now!

My lil' Carter...he still has that dark hair and cute face! He is looking more like his daddy everyday...and loves sporting his dad's hat whenever possible!!

Oh Bryce! Proving daily that he is honery and mischevious :) His favorite toy? Boxes....he climbs in and out, loads them with toys and then dumps them out. He never sits still...and he gives great hugs!

Our little surprise that brings a HUGE smile to my face. He is growing like a weed...he is 5 1/2 months old...and in this picture he is sporting his brothers old pajamas...that they wore when they were ONE! So, I do believe he is going to be a BIG boy :)

Amazing how much changes in a year...and how fast time flies...the first pic of KK seems just like yesterday...I remember the day so well. Getting her dressed and fixing her hair in the little pig tails. Now, she is the big sister to 3 precious little boys and we are a family of six. So thankful for pictures and the ability to look back at where we were and to look at where we are going. So blessed!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday!!

      Shoe Shopping....Boys edition

So one of the biggest differences between boys and girls....shoe selection :)

My daughter has more shoes than I do...it is ridiculous. She has boots, flats, strappy sandals, jellies, flip flops, dressy, casual...you name it, she has it. She wears them all too. She is quite girly and loves dressing up and matching shoes to her outfits.

But the boys...they survive on what is needed.

Our go-to pair are our New Balance tennis shoes (and the only pair that still fits):

They are great for playing and the boys love that they can take them off by themselves because of the velco strap. Actually, Bryce takes them off as soon as he gets into the car...everytime!!

We have added 3 more pair to the collection for the spring/summer, and well, as long as their foot will fit into them.

      1.Crocs
Katelyn had a pair last year and they got alot of wear, so I thought it was just natural to get the boys a pair. We went with black since it was a great neutral.

They clean easily and let the foot breath during the summer. The boys were a little unsure of them at first, but they seem to like them now. Although, Carter trips himself a little bit ;) Also, I signed up to receive e-mails and got a 20% off coupon! Super affordable!

      2. TOMS
I LOVE my TOMS so I thought it would be a great casual shoe for the boys. They spend 65% of their time in khakis and a shirt, so throwing on a pair of TOMS just completes the outfit :)

Not to mention, they are precious!! Also, since we got the boys a pair, we got two pairs for someone else that needed shoes :)

      3. Sandals

We went with a GAP pair. Gap was having 20% off, so I figured I would take advantage of a sale since I have to get two pair, and well it is summer...so you have to have sandals. Enough said...

So, we have our shoe collection complete :) We are happy with our selection and super pumped that with sales and all, we were able to purchase 6 pairs of shoes for under $100 bucks!! Not bad!!

What shoes are you wearing this summer??

      Slacking is over...

Well, I am back...I have slacked off for a few days because we have been busy...busy doing lots of fun stuff that I figured I could recap in one wonderful post...so I will jump right in....

      • The weather here has been beautiful so we have spent many of hours OUTSIDE in the sun! This also means a very dry yard...so of course it was time to break out the sprinkler...and the kids LOVED it! It is so funny watching all 3 of them this year running and playing....just a year ago, it was only KK running in and out of the water and boys sat on a blanket watching...so crazy!

      • Then on Friday night, two of our nieces came out to stay the night and play! So, we had a FULL HOUSE! I had two 3 year olds, three 1 year old and a 5 month old....it was crazy, and fun and very tiring! But they had so much fun together playing and running around, and I had a chance to get to hang out with two little girls I don't get to hang out with all that often...it was fun :)

      • Here is the crew:

Cute cousins....they are 3 months and 30 minutes apart :)

This was my favorite pic from the weekend...this kid is hilarious :)

      • We SOLD OUR CAR! I am so excited about this...we are on the road to becoming debt-free (a long, long road...but on the road nonetheless!) So we have sucked it up and we are going to have only one car payment!! WoooHooo! Also, it felt good to find a good family that it will help them in their need for a car. They had lost theirs in a car accident...Win-Win really :)

      • We spent the day on Sunday at church and then taking naps and relaxing...much needed for all of us! We also decided to make the church we have been visiting our home church and we couldn't be happier :)

      • We played like crazy on Monday and threw some laundry in here and there! Then my mom was sweet enough to run errands with me....KID FREE....(thank you Papa and Dad!) and we had a little girl time...much needed

      • Today, I went to the doctor for my kidney ultrasound...and I should get the breakdown of the results in the next week...worst part...I had to fast for 12 hours before so needless to say I had a HUGE lunch today LOL

      • Last, tonight was KK's first dance pics...although completely chaotic at the studio due to the number of little dancer's everywhere...it was a super special moment for me...actually surreal. I sat there curling hair and putting on lip gloss and mascara on a smiling, ectastic little girl and I all I could think of was 1)how amazing this little girl was that God created and gave to me, and 2)me as a little girl with my mom putting makeup on me for twirling. Talk about full circle....

So things have been a little crazy, so I have not sat down to blog in a few days. Good to be back and get a few thoughts down though. Until tomorrow....Good Night!

Won't you sing along with me?

So, we have just recently broke out the ABC puzzle with the boys. It had been Katelyn's when she was younger and she LOVED it, so we decided it was time for the boys to love some letters.

We have been singing the ABC's for months and they like the beat and Bryce even has some letters down. Carter, on the other hand, is more the mover and shaker instead of the communicator...so he dances a little jig :)

Either way, when I broke out the puzzle, they were both so excited! Carter is great with puzzles and I can tell that both are picking up on letter recognitition. I am a proud mama :)

They both played really well together and we took turns on the letters. Bryce repeats them back very well and Carter's favorites that he will say on O, H, W, I and A. Katelyn likes to sit them down and be the "teacher". She is quite good at her job...they honestly will sit there for her longer than for me. They pretty much think their sister hung the moon.

There is another lil' man that thinks pretty highly of her too...

She is such a good big sister!

Anyway, I am pretty sure the boys will have their ABC's down in no time...it is so cute hearing them try :) Want to know a fun fact? I can sing my ABC's backward to the tune of the alphabet song...I learned it in 5th grade...and I have NEVER forgotten :) My niece used to make me sing it ALL THE TIME...it was what kept me cool in her eyes for an entire 18 months ;)

Well, so glad tomorrow is Friday!!

      5 months....a day late

So my intention yesterday was to re-cap a fabulous, crazy weekend....and then I ended up looking at the date and realized....WHAT!?! My lil' mini man is 5 months old??? No way...the time has seriously flown by because I feel like I have just blinked.

Well, then my day went from busy to crazy...and then I ended up staying up until 12:30am looking for a very important piece of paper (which I never found...darn it!) and realized I never actually got to write my post...so here goes...

      See this little guy...

Is it me or is he balding...I think we are going backwards :)

The one who went from a little baby that slept and ate into a lil' mini man that has the most amazing little personality. Either he is the easiest baby EVER or I am so at ease things just fall off of me.

      Look at that little face!

He is happy 98% of the time.....seriously...he spends his day watching his brothers run and play and when I can get them to stop and pay attention (in small doses of time, of course) I will just lay him on the ground and he will roll from one side of the room to the other side...and he has even begun to inch worm to get to toys...by the way, he has a new favorite.

It was actually the boys' toy when they were little...and they played with it for like a day and then forgot about it. When we found it and handed it to Austin he just giggled. So cute :)

Some basics....He LOVES food and is getting pretty good at not getting too messy, he is mobile in his own way. The other day, I put him in the middle of the carpet to play and I went to wash dishes. I came back to find him under a chair...at first I didn't see him and I kinda freaked out LOL....

He is getting stronger and I bet will be sitting up in no time. He loves having a different view, so we have a little chair that he can sit up in "by himself".

      Photobucket

He loves having a "lovie" which is his taggie blanket. He is still sleeping like a champ and he is nursing 4 times a day and sleeping through the night. When he wakes up in the morning, he just hangs in his bed and babbles and coos and rolls around. When I walk in the room he looks up and has a HUGE grin....I may or may not think this is the best thing ever :)

Basically he is my sidekick. I believe the Lord put him in my life to calm me during crazy times. He does just that...I love this phase (not that I don't love all of them) but he is so content.

I feel like he grows up without me even realizing sometimes because I am too busy chasing around the other kiddos and trying to discipline, play games or fix food or clean. I look down and see this little baby turning into a little boy. I feel so blessed to have him in our lives.

He is adored by friends and family. His brothers give him kisses daily and try to include him in playtime, which sometimes results in a bump or two...but it is the fact theat they are so kind. And Katelyn...well, the two of them together is precious. She likes to hold him and he is the first person she asks about each morning. She has such concern for his well-being. She is a protective older sister. I can't wait to see as the four of them grow together.

Well...ok...I am done! I am off to take some Tylenol and nasal spray...I believe a sinus infection is knocking at my door! Happy Hump Day!

      What the sock?

Do you knonw how many socks a family of 6 wears???? Approximately 14,325....minus the ones the dryer eats of course...and today is Monday....laundry day again...and today I am tackling the dreaded sock basket.

When doing laundry, I throw all the loose socks into a basket and tell myself I will do them "later". Very vague...so after a few days of Kev and I complaining that we can't find socks for ourselves or the kids, I decide it is time. So, I have a method to the madness of matching socks, since they range from big man socks to tiny balls of fabric that fit Austin's little foot.

First, I separate adult size from kid size...then the adult size gets separated into white and black socks. Then the kids socks get separated into: girly socks (KK), the twins and Austin. Then I set out to match within each separated group, and then throw away those that don't get a friend.

Whew....this is a process, with the help of Carter and Bryce, takes about an hour and a half. We usually have to stop a couple of times to read a book or two, then try on a sock, walk around and laugh at themselves in daddy's socks, then to separate them from fighting over daddy's socks...it is kinda funny :)

So, they are now down for a nap, and I am going to finish up laundry day and sit back and enjoy some old episodes of Sex in the City....tomorrow I will try to post a weekend recap...it was busy and GREAT!!

      Happy Monday!

      Saturday morning tidbits

Well...Saturday mornings are always our "whatever" mornings. Kev goes to work EARLY and so when the kiddos get up, have breakfast and then I let the free for all begin so I can do dishes or whatever other random chore needs to be done.

So this morning, I have put up the dishes, we have The Fresh Beat Band blaring, and the kids are running from room to room giggling and laughing....sometimes they are sporting cowboy hats and Katelyn tells me they are headed to the farm, or backpacks and they are headed to school. She also likes to pretend that we are in the rainforest and going on a safari. The boys are game for any and all adventures.

Especially when they play parade and they all walk through the house banging drums...this is their favorite right now. Headache? Yes... Adorable? Yes...

I love that the kids are so close in age they are each other playmates although it does end in tears a good amount of the time because they are all learning the art of compromise and sharing. Katelyn is a GREAT big sister...she has 3 little boys under her that she cares so much about and if they are crying she always try to comfort or make them laugh. She has an amazing heart. The boys think the world of her, even Austin just looks at her with adoration.

Anyway...a couple of random thoughts on this Saturday morning...

      1. Katelyn has begun saying, "You have got to be kidding me!?!" I am sure she got this from overhearing me say this...but the other day we were all sitting in the living room and I told Kev we were out of waffles, and Katelyn turned around with the most serious face and said, "You have got to be kidding me!?!" I am loving it...it is quite funny.

      2. Bryce DOES NOT like getting his hair cut....I couldn't help but crack up when we took him yesterday. He looked so frightened and the poor hair lady...I was holding him in my lap because he wouldn't sit by himself and he screamed and cried the entire time. His hair looks, well, not great, but it is no longer hanging over his ears. I am so glad we were the only ones in there. On a side note, Carter loved it and just sat there and smiled. Go figure :)

      3. Busy weekend, two Birthday parties, a Sip'n'See, church and grocery shopping...and I feel like the weekend is already gone...glad to get to hang out with the family on all these adventures ;)

      4. Getting excited for Monday's Teen Mom with Dr. Drew....I can't wait to hear what he has to say to Jennelle...of all the episodes and craziness I have seen on the show, somehow she still surprises me.

      5. American Idol 2011...LOVING IT (are you watching??) I love the judges, the talent and just the small changes of the show, like watching more what the contestants are doing behind the scenes. I am pretty sure all of them will at least end up a one hit wonder...

      6. Looking forward for some shows to start already....like So You Think You Can Dance...I LOVE THIS SHOW!! and I am curious about The Voice and Simon Cowell's new show, the X-Factor...I am sure I will watch at least one episode of each to see if I get hooked.

      7. Thoughts on the Grey's Musical Event this last Thursday?? Couldn't decide whether I loved it, or hated it....jury is still out...

      8. Last 4 points about TV...maybe I watch too much??

      9. Thinking I need to plant some flowers....not that I will keep them alive, but it will look pretty for a little while at least :)

      10. Need a good book...an easy read that will make me laugh...any suggestions??

Alright...well, ending on a note with my favorite four people...

      Just another Saturday morning....

      Friday, April 1, 2011

      It's SHOE shopping time....

So, now with summer around the corner I am looking for some new shoes...so I have been surfing the web trying to find the perfect flats and also a couple of sandals to show off my pedicure...well, when I get one :) Last summer I was pregnant and wore flip-flops...pretty much all the time! So, I feel as though it is time to revamp the shoe wardrobe...so here is what I am looking at...

      vintage metallic reva ballet flat

I am a HUGE fan of metallics...they are my neutral. I have never owned a pair of Tory Burch Reva's...but I have heard good things and I feel like these would be good for spring/summer/fall. I like the idea of a great pair of flats that can work with me being on the go and chasing after kiddos. I have an anniversary and a 30th birthday coming up...so maybe I will be surprised :)

      Next.....I am leaning toward these:

      Yellow Stone-Washed Twill Women's Classics

I am wanting another pair of Tom's. I like these as a casual shoe and to add a hint of color. I also like the idea of a pair of shoes being donated when I purchase a pair. We will also be purchasing Tom's for the kids this year...they are super cute in Tiny Tom sizes :)

So, moving on to some shoes that will show off a much needed pedicure would be the following two pairs....

      Coach Rachal (in Gold)

Again, going with the metallic. I love how simple the sandal is and know that it would be great to throw on with capris, skirt or a maxi dress. Also, I have purchased Coach sandals in the past and I have had the best luck with them! They have always lasted me for a few summers.

      Last,

      Nine West, Arden

This has a GREAT embellishment on the back of the heel (that you can't see in this pic of course) and I like the strapiness of the shoe. Not a shoe I can buy online though...with all the strapiness I would want to try it on to see how it actually looks on my foot...an excuse for a trip to the mall :)

Well, all these shoes would round out my idea of a fabulous shoe collection for this Spring and Summer, however, I might be dreaming, just a tad, to be able to purchase them all :) I might get crazy though!!

Well, happy Friday! I hope everyone has a great weekend!!
